The primary job of a cam model is to create a fantasy for their client. The better your fantasy is the more often your clients will return, spend money, and possibly refer a few friends! I have a basic list of some hints and tips that can help you with creating your fantasy and keeping your clients in your room
The Basics:
The first 30 to 90 seconds are the most important after they've joined the show. They've taken the plunge and have spent money to see you. You only get one chance to make a great first impression. Be interesting and polite and seductive.ionterested to see more of you. At this point you should be as dressed as possible. Many models will strip to nearly nothing to attract a client, but then when they get in private, they have nearly nothing left to take off. End result, less time spent undressing, less money earned!
Start a conversation with something like "Hi! , I'm "YOUR NAME"! Welcome to the me show, I got all sexied up for you! Do you like "FANTASY" of have something else in mind?
Too many models have a introduction that just doesn't work, but yet they don't change it. Get a list of 3-5 introductions, and try each of them out, see which ones work and which ones don't. Replace the introductions that aren't working with new ones. Eventually you will have your pick of 3-5 good and solid introductions that you know work.
From your prospective, the most important goal is to keep the client in your room. You'll need to distract them from remembering that they are spending money per minute. The best way to do this is to NOT ask too many questions. Spending too much time asking a client what they like and don't like causes them to think about thier situation. Remember your the performer here not them, its not your job to interview your client. What you want to do instead, is tell your client what you want to do, how your going to do it and why they want to see it, This leaves your client free to concentrate on other things than having to answer questions, clock watching, and money spending.
If you have a mic, use it, if you don't GET ONE, nothing is more annoying in a private pay per minute chat than a model that has to spend a minutes time typing something. They aren't paying you to type, they are paying for the fantasy, so less typing more fantasy equals more money!
Statistically your going to get a few neg'ers, people who it seems only function is to say bad things. Yes the are annoying and no you shouldn't even acknowledge they are their, any conversation with these people and your giving them permission to continue thier comments which could endanger your getting other clients that maybe in the room. Concentrate of the people that are praising you not the ones insulting you. Aside from the Neg'ers your also going to get the spammers, these are sometimes people sometimes bots that are trying to advertise their goods in your room. Often times its going to be a competeing cam site, they are hoping to either get your customers, or entice you into joining their cam site as a model. You should ignore these people and if possible block them from your chatroom, and report them to model support. These people are using you, taking your clients, and with your clients, your money!
What to do in a show:
This is something that really depends on you, there is no set format for a performance. Your artistic side can shiny through here. just like your introductions, you should develop 3-5 styled performances, see which ones keep clients longer, and which ones aren't working as well, keep on modifying your performances til you work it down to the best of the best. It may start with some flirty dancing, striptease, oil show or a tour of your available toys if you use toys. You may want to invent lilttle games for your repeat clients to keep them coming back. Try writing a regulars name on your arm with a marker, this will let them know they are special, and it will increase their return rate dramatically.
No matter what you chose to do, do not have idle moments in private, you should be in constant motion, whether theres an empty space because the client types slowly, or with one hand, or your resting after a big happy ending, you need to stay in constant motion!
BE UNIQUE - The more unique your show is the better chance that you will get repeat and return clients. If it came down to a battle of what model was better looking, only one model would have all the clients. Luckily thats not the case, you have the freedom to create your own show. Look what the other models are doing, but do something different. Create something that is truely different, and you will see the clients stream into your shows.
CONTROL YOUR ROOM - Don't let your clients control your room. remember they want a hands free encounter with you. Don't ask them what they want, tell them what they can expect and simply say is that ok? chances are they are going to say yes, the less typing they are doing, the more they are enjoying your show
USE TOYS - Don't be afraid to give a quick preview of toys that you have onhand, if a client likes one of the toys it gives you a good starting point to launch your show. When you are previewing your toys you want to simulate some sexual act, either putting it next to your mouth, or between some other area of your body
DRESS UP - Be sure you look as good as possible, you should never go on cam looking less than 100%. That extra 15 minutes doing your make-up just right will be well recieved by your clients and will directly affect your earnings. Always have a change of clothes within reach. Sometimes you might get a hint that your client doesnt like what your wearing. If this is the case then you can spend a couple monutes changing outfits for them. From your prospective, 3 minute changing clothes for a client is better than 3 minutes of doing hardcore sex acts.
Role playing outfits are very good too, and in demand, whether its a schoolgirl outfit or a nurse outfit, you can go to nearly any thrift store and find some cheesy halloween outfit that will work. Pick up a cheap catwoman outfit, or cheerleader outfit. Also as you make money you'll want to devote a certain percentage of it twords new outfits. Seasonal outfits work well like Valentines outfit, Independance Day outfit Xmas...etc.
SHOW FORMATS - There is literally a million different things you can do in a show, sometimes your client is content watching you put on make-up, some want to watch you eat, some want to get straight to the hardcore business. No matter what they want, you need to find out fastm without having to ask them too many questions. Usually to save paid time they will tell you what they want before they take you to a private show. If you hear someone asking you if you will do something particular for them, they are your first priority. This is a clear indicator that the want to take you in private so pay them the most attention. PARTNERING UP - Your sure to get more private shows if you have a partner. Clients love the two for one idea, so if you have a freind that your comfortable with bring them into the loop too. Not only does it increase your private time, but also when they work alone you will make a percentage bonus off what they earn because you referred them!
SLOW DOWN! - You don't want to give it all away too fast! if you get right to the hardcore stuff too fast your going to find that clients don't stay as long, you want them to stay with you atleast 10 minutes, if your jumping right in chances are they are done too quick to satisfy your bank account
PROMOTING YOURSELF - The first thing a prospective client is going to look at is your profile, so be sure its hot and steamy and complete with plenty of enticements. Several pictures in various outfits, turn-ons, turn-offs should be filled out extensively. If you spend more time making your myspace page cool, and less time making your performer profile page informative, then chances are your not too interested in actually making money, be sure to make a killer performer profile page!
Wherever you can drop a link to your chatroom, you should, make myspace, facebook and hi5 profiles exclusively for your performer name, never use your real social network profiles, you don't want any hint of your real identity. Not only is this dangerous, but it also takes away from the fantasy
WORKSPACE - Keep it clean and clutter free, you don't want too many things for your clients to look at other than you. It's best to have your camera pointing at you, with an uncluttered background, if there is too much of a mess in your background, it brings in elements of your real life, and therefore destroys the fantasy. The exception here is a themed show if theres object that help create your particular theme then that is acceptable
CONSISTANCY - Nothing will lose you your regular clients as fast as a few bad nights. If your not feeling good, do yourself a favor and take the night off. COme back when your feeling 100%, never do a show when your only able to give 50%
SCHEDULED SHOWS - Its wise to have an up-to-date showtime schedule, and to inform guests of when you have special shows. You would be suprised, people will come specifically to see your special shows. NEVER let your schedule go out-of-date. Once you fail to meet a scheduled showtime, you have lost any client that came to see that show. Be sure to mis up your showtimes, depending on what type of clients your getting you may want to schedule shows to be in thier Primetime Zones which is thier time 10pm to midnight
